The OSF HealthCare Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is a 12-month transition-to-practice program for new nurse practitioners and physician assistants. We mentor advanced practice providers as they transition into practice and prepare them to become health care leaders.
Our fellowship has tracks in Primary Care, Urgent Care, General Pediatrics, Neurology, Adult Critical Care, Neonatal Critical Care, Pediatric Acute Care, and Emergency Medicine.
Our goal is to grow the novice advanced practice provider in both clinical and professional areas and provide mentoring support during the transition to clinical practice.
I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have completed a fellowship program. I can't imagine being a new grad without my cohort and all of my mentors throughout the fellowship." APP Fellowship Alum

APP Fellowships Offered
The OSF HealthCare APP Fellowship program was founded in 2016 with one fellowship track. Since then, we have added additional inpatient and outpatient tracks. Each track is divided into two models: precepted and mentored.
During the precepted model, you're with a dedicated preceptor and share a patient panel. The mentored model allows you to have your own patient panel with increased autonomy, while still having support. The precepted model usually lasts for 6-8 months before you move into the mentored model.
